Who is the DTCC?
Depository Trust and Clearing (DTCC) is the world's leading provider of centralized clearance, settlement and information services to the financial services industry. For example, they now clear and settle virtually all streetside equity, corporate and municipal bond transactions in the U.S. They are also the leading processor of mutual fund orders.

DTCC ‘s Insurance Processing Services Group (IPS)
Insurance Processing Services (IPS) for life insurance and annuity manages the communication of secure information and the settlement of money between Life & Annuity Carriers and their major distributors, typically large banks, wirehouses, and Brokerage Firms.

ADMServer for IPS Connectivity
ADMServer for IPS connectivity is a module of ADMServer that was developed jointly by Blue Frog and the DTCC. It uses the ADMServer Framework to allow carriers to quickly and cost effectively connect to and process DTCC feeds and utilize their services in a matter of months and to inexpensively add additional IPS services over time. The module allows insurance carriers and distributors to better sell and service their annuity and life insurance products and includes the following transaction services:

• Annuity Applications/Premiums: transmits initial annuity application and premium information from distributors to the issuing insurance carrier.
• Subsequent Premiums: transmits information regarding subsequent premiums originating at the broker/dealer and sent to the insurance carrier.
• Positions and Valuations: transmits information from a carrier to its trading partners on individual life insurance or annuity contracts and their underlying assets, accumulation units and valuations.
• Compensation and Commissions: transmits information regarding payments, advances and charge backs of periodic asset-based compensation, ad hoc transaction-based commissions and bonuses from carriers to their distributors.
• Financial Activity Reporting: provides data from the insurance carrier to the distributors regarding other financial activity, including disbursements, re-balances, asset allocation changes, partial withdrawals, etc. It will also provide the accompanying detail on these activities.
• License and Appointments: provides a two-way flow of information-a request and response system-between insurance carriers and distributors, transmitting license and appointment data in either direction. These licenses and appointments enable corporations and agents to deal in annuity and insurance products.
• Money Settlement: the NSCC's system generates a single money settlement statement with detail on each participant's financial obligation related to commissions or initial or subsequent premiums on an IPS transaction.
• ACATS – Allows the automated transfer of Annuity Accounts from one firm to another to follow the producing broker.
• IN Force Transfers – Provides for automated asset re-allocation or (fund trading) within an existing annuity product. Brokers can log on an execute trades from fund to fund. The system verifies current fund values and verifies available mutual funds that are allowed for investment for the annuity based on the current product rules and policy makeup. (Will be in pilot in Q4 2007)
• Replacements – Supports the automated 1035 exchange process for Annuities. Provodes for the automatic movement of money from one annuity Carrier to Another including notifications of cancellation etc.
